cpm collaborates with CaixaBank’s ‘The Tree of Dreams’ campaign focused on children at risk of social exclusion

cpm has generated an alliance with CaixaBank to support the project of the bank ‘The Tree of Dreams’, an initiative so that more than 21,000 children at risk of social exclusion can receive a gift during the next Christmas holidays.

The action seeks to mobilize the clients of the entity so that, together with more than 300 social entities throughout the Spanish territory, they make a small illusion of the most vulnerable people in our society. One in three children in Spain is at risk of poverty or social exclusion, according to the latest INE Living Conditions Survey (June 2018). Unicef raises the figure to 40%, placing Spain as the third country, behind Romania and Greece, in both relative and anchored child poverty.

Each Dream Tree is made of recycled cardboard, measures about two meters high and contains 20 balls. In each of them is written the name and age of a child. All these children have written their own letter to the Kings, in which they ask for a gift, a toy, clothes… this will be the gift that will be bought for this child thanks to the collaboration of people and companies like cpm that are actively involved in this initiative of social action.
